I last reported the numbers in a post that covered through June 30, 2018.

Special thanks to @arcange who runs these numbers everyday.

Now that we are at end of month, time to post the numbers again.

We have 3 months worth of data for analysis purposes to see how the 90 trend might be.

So what does this all tell us?

To start: THE SYSTEM IS WORKING AS IT IS DESIGNED!!!!

The Whales are losing power.

The Orcas, on the other hand, had a very good month. They had the largest gain over any category. Looking at the accounts, the Orcas had a +17 jump while the Dolphins registered -8. This would account for part of the increase.

On May 31, 2018, the Whales and Orcas had 305,493 MVests (78.75% of the total); on June 30, 2018, 304,784 MVests (78.17% of the total)...a decrease of .77%....On July 31, 2018, 305,980 MVests (78.35% of the total)...an increase of .23%.

Overall, Orcas and Dolphins had a month that is opposite their recent trends. Whales continues the same downward pattern with Minnows following the upward trend. At the lower end, the same was witnessed; Planktons keep losing with Inactives growing.

As for the #minnowuprising event that we put together in July, that looks like it had no marginal impact. The numbers are within the norm for the Minnows, hence no impact can be derived by looking at these numbers. This is not a surprise since the number of people who truly participated in it was very low.

To those who did participate, I hope you did see a jump in your accounts. That is one of the keys to success on STEEM: consistent growth of one's account.

If you want to see how you did over the past 30 days, head over to steemdb.com and enter your username in the search at the upper right.

You will get a graph like this:

This will give you a rough estimate of your growth in percentage terms if you divide it all out. This account gained roughly 30K vests for a gain of 11.5% (30K divided by 260K).

To those who have a red line that resembles this one, good job.

Guess I am doing ok then.
80K vest increase, making it a gain of just below 10%.

I would have hoped the #minnowuprising initiative done more for the community to see the opportunity. However, I feel i did great and am looking forward to sharing to see ifbit motivates others.

Hello @taskmaster4450,
You have been done a great job. Thanks for sharing this.

Does this mean a lot of whales are powering down?

"Whales Are Losing Their Power."
No, just reduced the proportion of their power. Its relative. They are still big and strong, but meanwhile the smaller accounts are growing faster, as you show to us :)

Btw. i made a try with two tag, minnowuprising and upvoteplankton, and i dont see any different with or without these tags. Maybe its not enough big boy, who want we grow, or too much cool posts (not mines :D ), and not enough the vote-number :)

Here's my graph....not bad! #minnowuprising was quite beneficial for me. Thank-you so much for initiating it @taskmaster4450!! ❤ now to keep up the momenum. Have a beautiful day!!

Wow quite a run at the end there...

You went from 460K to roughly 510K...a 50K improvement or over 11%....

A very good month.

There was! If i only understood why!! And, how. To keep it going. Haha!

Trend line looks ok on this one as far as I can tell for a slow month in STEEM and full of vacations.

I want to add this tool to my STEEM toolbox. What would be the most useful stat/section you use to manage your STEEM business? (I find if I can pick one then I get a good understanding and find other useful stats learn to glean information from the block of data.)

Thanks again!

steemdb is packed full of data if you sift through your account on there. It will tell you lots about what you are doing.

Hey @taskmaster4450, question.
If the whale delegate SP for another account, the SP counted is in Whale or in another account type?

I am not 100% certain but I believe it is STEEM owned...delegations, since they are still owned by the one delegating are reflected that way.

A 100K SP account is still an Orca even if 80K is delegated out.

Hm... Good, but the problem is when the whale power down the account and create another to divide the SP. I don't know how much of them do that, but it's another thing that we need to see also.

@taskmaster4450, very interesting.

Particularly comparing the top-bottom stats on the 387,915 MVest figures. Where the Whales increased by only 0,13%, while the combined increase for the Minnows and Redfish was 3,25%. Good news for those us still languishing in the bottom-basement.

Indeed, as you say, Steemit is beginning to work as it was intended too.

Thats what we needed, the middle class to move up and be a leading example
