Here Is The End Of World Poverty: The Solution The World Is Looking For
Over the past few weeks, I alluded to a project that was being developed. To me, this is a very important step for humanity. For way to long, the banking led-fiat based system allowed billions to live in total poverty.
Recently, mostly from the technological community, we see an interest in an approach called Universal Basic Income. This is stemming from the idea that millions are going to lose their job over the next decade due to automation. Whether you agree with this belief or not, the truth is that things have not been getting for most people over the last few decades. It is time to change that.
On Steemit, we refer to the proof-of-brain concept. Well, I term this new project proof-of-breathing. If you are breathing, you are in.
One of the difficulties with the UBI debate is how to pay for it. Governments around the world cannot agree on lunch let alone something as big as this. Also, it is valid to question whether it is wise for people to be dependent upon governments for their livelihood. In my view, this is putting them right back in the bankers' hands.
This is where the Manna coin comes in. For those who are aware, this was called Grantcoin during the proofing stage. Since that time, the system was reworked with automation distribution and a new wallet system (those in Grantcoin will get a 1-1 swap).
Manna is the world's first global Universal Basic Income solution. It is not in discussion or planning. There are no trials or governments. Simply, this is a cryptocurrency designed to end poverty that is backed by a non-profit organization, not a government. Like other cryptocurrencies, it is de-centralized out of the control of any individuals or country.
,center>STEEM WILL MAKE PEOPLE RICH: MANNA WILL END POVERTY!!!
Over the past few weeks I wrote how STEEM is changing the world. Manna is the other project that I believe fully in. Part of the plans over the next year is going to be to set up wallets for children so that they have resources when they reach the age of majority. The release of the wallet key will be written into the blockchain using a smart contract so that nobody can touch the money but the child upon reaching said age. Far too often we see children bilked by adults who squander the resources.
Part of the idea of Manna is, if you do not need the resources yourself, to help out others. Each week, starting in January, tokens will be deposited in accounts. If you are inclined, you can allow the tokens to accumulate before giving them to an individual or association that is in need. The choice is totally yours. Talks are already occurring revolving around putting together programs in third world nations. Ultimately, you will be able to split up your payouts as they come in. For example, you could take 50%, while sending 50% to a wallet of an organization you support. Of course, if your situation necessitates, by all means use the tokens on your family.
Like all cryptocurrencies, the Network Effect is crucial. At present there are 4,000 people signed up with another 8,000 on a mailing list who are being added. So far, $150,000 was distributed in the proofing phase. This is money that went all over the world.
I ask that you use my referral link because it does enable me to be part of the bonus pool. This is a one level deep system for direct referrals to foster faster expansion. My bonus pool money is already earmarked for a non-profit organization in my area that provides after school and summer programs for under-privileged children.
Here is the link:

Again, I urge you to assist us in spreading the word about this program. Once you sign up (you will have to go through the Know Your Customer stuff) get all your friends and family involved. Use your referral link so that you are entered in the bonus pool and urge them to do the same.
This is a great way for people to enter the cryptocurrency realm. STEEM is wonderful since someone does not have to buy in. You do have to participate. With Manna, one simply signs up.
Let us all help end poverty. Over the next few months, with dedicated effort, we can really help push the value of the token higher. This will really help those in the unbanked areas where poverty is a way of life.
This is listed on coinmarketcap.com under GRT.
As always if you found this informative, please give it an upvote and a re-steem.

Great post. I heard about Universal Basic Income a few months back, when a Youtuber I like posted about the future of AI, and the mass unemployment that could lead to. Apparently AI can do most any job now, and in the future it is thought it will do most, if not all jobs.
The YT video went on to say that if AI does take away a lot of employment options that our economy would suffer and so would the government, and one solution, was to provide a Universal Basic Income.
There is some evidence that it can be an effective economic driver. In Canada we did a Universal Basic Income in the 60's I think. It was just a trial and lasted only a few months in a section of Canada but the findings suggested that most people used the income to pay for living and then their time was able to be spent on trying to educate themselves to step up the socio-economic ladder.
Most people think if you give people free money they will just be a waste to society, but that's not what this short study found. They used the money to live, stopped working 16 hours a day a min-wage jobs, got education and climbed the ladder, which drives the economy through greater taxability and innovation through that education.
Very interesting stuff...
You bring up great points @infidel1258.
More pilot projects are being implemented using fiat and the results are the same: for the most part, people do not get lazy, they go back to school or start businesses. When the basics are covered, they can take some risks.
The usual argument is how to pay for it (which is a valid one). With the cryptocurrency, governments and fiat money is not involved. Instead, the blockchain handles it all.
I hope you took the opportunity to sign up and help us spread the word by passing out your referral link.
Together, we can change the world.
I would like to mention another similar project https://www.swiftdemand.com/ which gives 100 swifts daily without any condition. They have a store https://www.swiftdemand.com/store, not well developed yet. However, they have plan to add swift to exchanges.
Moreover, @scottsantens is a scholar on UBI and very active in Steemit.
Thanks for the link @riseofth...I went and signed up.
I wasnt aware of @scottsantens...perhaps he would be interested in what Manna is doing.
They are always looking for people who can help out and push the entire program forward.
Hi interesting post but to be honest I am not sure of UBI.
One of my favorite thinker Sam Harris is for it where we need to find a way to give UBI so everyone can do what we actually love to do. However, more conservative views like Ben Shapiro does give a good point that unless the current technology actually reach the point where all cost is equal to material cost then UBI is not yet needed.
Actually I could use some UBI as I lost my assets to a family problem. However due to some good points in both sides of the argument still puts me in the fence.
Still this experiment might be worth while... Maybe the human race will actually surprise us!!!
All political and philosophical views will be late to the part.
Technological unemployment is going to sneak up and surprise everyone. Conservatives tout the merits of free market yet it is a fact that wages are flat in the west over the last 20 years. Of course, we hear this BS about China and Mexico and thats where the jobs are...they arent.
Today, we manufacture more in the US than at any point in our history (you wont see that in the MSM). If that is the case, where are the jobs. We are down well over a million manufacturing jobs yet still manufacture more than ever? How can that be? Technology...that is how.
And what about retail? For the amount of sales in the US, we should have roughly 1M more jobs....where are they? Lost because of the online technology.
We are starting to see this in legal...accounting is already downsized...medical is going to be hit next....and construction.
FinTech is obliterating the jobs in the financial arena... a study was done of the job listing for the 4 or 5 largest banks and over 3/4 of the jobs offered were software/coding related. The largest banks arent hiring finance majors, they are hiring software engineers.
One thing you can count on, the political establishment and think tanks will be late to the party. Hell, many of them are still talking about bringing the jobs back.
Not sure about this one I think this is the part is early but the implementation is the one that is always late. But i concede that actual political establishment and think tanks might be late as they are trying to please who ever their base / sponsor is.
Again if this project does achieve even 10% of its goal it would be a great boon to anyone it touch. So what the hell it just needs an email right might as well sign up...
:p
It looks similar to this proposal for UBI that decentralizes mining by turning everyone who has a cell phone into a miner using something similar to DPoW (Delegated Proof of Work). The mining income becomes a form of UBI. As far as I know it hasn't been implemented but this proposal is a very interesting view into the future of humanity.
One of the conspiracy theories about why the banking system has relegated half of the worlds population to abject poverty has to do with the idea of slowing the increase of population size through mortality. Personally I don't think authority has that much control, but am sure that some few in important places agree with that sentiment (I once watched a video where a high ranking officer of the UN said that we need to do everything possible to reduce world population).
If this conspiracy theory has truth to it, then I would expect that when the equity drain flows away from national fiat, it will force them to come out of the closet with their concerns.
The certainly is a movement to reduce the world's population that is out there. How big it is and who is involved is uncertain but there is a faction that would like to see the world with about $2B people.
The truth is the birth rate worldwide has decreased the last 20 years as wealth did increase. Even in sub-sahara africa, the number if children per woman dropped 50% from 10 to 5. That is still a high number but a great deal less than the 1990s.
As the world is lifted out of poverty, we see people having less children. The western nations led the way in this and we are starting to see it happen elsewhere. Hands no longer are needed for farming. People are better educated about birth control. Health care systems improve so people do not need 10 kids to make sure 5 survive. And on it goes.
To be honest I don't think that it is true. I live in a third world country in Asia and our mortality rate is not that high. Unless the country they are talking about is war torn and completely backwards then I think that our health standards can also apply in any third world country.
Second most of the poorest country have very high birth rate and are in my opinion the main cause of overpopulation. Also in my limited observation in our country most low income families have more children than those in the middle and upper class (Hey we have an enter family of 12 living on the streets in our country begging and was shown in our local news...Of course there are exceptions).
Bill Gates has argued against the Maltheusian hypothesis essentially saying the same thing as you. Developed countries with greater wealth generally have a lower birth rate. I'm not arguing for or against depopulation. I'm just pointing out the theories that some fail to consider as to why we have the banking system that we do. But like I said above, I don't think they have that much control.
Gave them my email. So if I'm understanding correctly you start earning a birth, but cant withdraw until a certain age? Seems interesting, is that a future update or how would I go about setting up youngsters?
Im a big believer in ubi, though for different reason than both, Im big on meritocracies. If there is someone currently working an office job out of necesitty could instead be writing a piece of software that could replace 10,000 office workers, then society would the same amount of wealth being produced if the other 9,999 decided to contribute nothing to society. But of course that wouldn't happen, most would go on to generate some wealth for society, and a few would produce large amounts of wealth.
This is why tech, the biggest wealth increase for society has largely been created by middle to upper middle class teens and early 20s. They were still on the Parental Basic Income. The explosion in wealth these past few decades has been almostly exclusively because there was a group who wasn't forced to work.
You should get an email that you need to verify with...then you are in the queue to get the tokens each week once they start.
As for the kids, yes they are going to start a program to get them signed up and then upon the age of majority, I will presume 18, they will have their wallets released to them.
That is my understanding anyway.
Neat. I assume non instant emails?
I am not sure....I will have to check on that.
Great Idea.
Fuller was a bright visionary ahead of his time. I am happy to live in times when his dreams start coming true.
Yes he was...I hope you signed up and are going to participate in the ending of world poverty and bringing about part of Fuller's vision.
Truly fantastic post and concept also.
Whether this coin become's a big thing or not it will at least fill a void in the sort-term that human's have never been able to.
Thank you for posting this as it is a project I will be following.
This is very interesting, thank you for sharing.
You are an excellent promoter for technical knowledge. You give maximum support for Steemit development. I give support in my own way. Do you know who is the oldest Steemit Blogger in the world, you can see it on my last post.
