Borderline - Don't Tear Up The Constitution
Lived around here for some long long number of decad3s (hint)... an awful long time.. Way back.. I don't think anyone wants to be on that list we've become the newest member of.. I don't see any way you regulate away mental illness. These lone gunman are a tough issue. But this guy was not an unknown. Somehow we've gotta keep a closer eye on folks suffering from PTSD, if that's what we find out. Maybe it has to be respectfully covert? Being innocent till proven guilty comes into play here and it is of the most importance to all of us, so, maybe covert surveillance has to be the way. If it's someone struggling with issues of violence,how about we just keep an eye on them? 24/7? Seems to me our government is mandated to protect us, and this would be a good way to allocate taxpayer resources. I'm sure we can find a few places to cut government. A few thousand places to generate funds every American would support. As far as gun control....I've gotta use schools as an example. I ask each person to ask themselves what they're doing RIGHT NOW, to protect their own kids? And I mean Right Now. Why demonstrate about tearing apart our Constitution? That's not doing anything to protect the kids. We don't need any of that. Each of us, right now, locally, can get together and protect our kids. School by school, neighborhood by neighborhood. Wouldn't the nation and all our schools end up being protected? We have to stop with this idea things need to happen in Washington D.C. and that some magic pill is going to protect us all. Never happen. Everything is local. Every school can figure out their own way, if parents are involved NOW.. That's the road to take. Will evil still be with us? Sadly, evil has been with us since the beginning of time. I pray for the families..Sigh
