Steemit Website Tech Blows Away Reddit's
Was just thinking about how the Steemit website blows away Reddit. More articles load as you scroll down, while Reddit still has pagination to page 2, 3, etc. Also, the responsive layout looks good even on a phone. I think Steemit may have lit a fire under Reddit'a @$$ in the latter area, as they FINALLY just rolled out mobile compatibility for their site, but it still sucks (reply buttons didn't even work when I tried) lol.

If anyone lit a fire under reddit, it was voat.co. Their site has many ui improvements and less censorship. If they had come through on their revenue sharing last year, they would have gotten huge. Steemit has them beat on that feature alone, it just needs to be easier to use.
I have heard about voat.co. Looks like they have a nice responsive mobile-freindly layout too. That's so important these days, everyone uses the web on their phone. Weird how reddit only within the past week or two added mobile compatible pages, and they still have bugs in them even...you'd expect more from a company with so much financial resources.
Yeah, it's much easier to use on a tablet than most sites. I posted some features in steemit-ideas that would be nice to see here, hopefully they will copy the code.
I think reddit is more focused on advertising and trying to control the narrative to deal with much else but their own drama. The censorship and crazy moderators over there are ruining the place. Voat has been fighting that same moderator\censorship crew since it started, because they keep trying to move in and take control of voat topics. I see there is even a proposal for moderator power here on steemit today, so they have noticed steemit and are going to try the same here. I hope this place can recognize and deal with those wanting to gain control.
The downvote is all we need to moderate I think. Hopefully it stays that way.
