looks like the BTCC race is fishy and is all about bots voting

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

something looks fishy about this whole BTCC initiative.

check out these two different tweets.

tweet #1

tweet #2

in the first tweet it talks about the final round.

in the second tweet it talks about a next round.

what "next" round is bobby lee referring to?

what is the definition of "final round?"

so, on the surface, it appears that there are 4 finalists. PLEASE NOTE THE WORD "FINALIST."
a finalist battles it out with other finalists in the "final" round of a race. basically, in this round a finalist, or the winner, takes it all.
to make this definition even more clear, in this BTCC tweet a finalist is also defined as one who appears in the final round.
the tweet by bobby lee says it clearly:

Congrats to all 4 finalists! Final Round, Battle of Digital Currencies: Which should @YourBTCC offer? #Vote & #Retweet to show your support!

however, there was another tweet that was sent by bobby lee, which i have been following all along. it asks about how did ETH and XRP lose in the semi-finals.

How did #Ethereum $ETH & #Ripple $XRP lose semi-finals?

again, from this wording we can conclude that the previous round was the semi-finals, the current round is the final round.

something weird happens in this tweet. bobby lee gives ETH and XRP another chance. he addresses the fans of ETH and XRP:

Go get 30K votes to rejoin the battle for next round!

which "next round" is he talking about? i thought this was the final round.

it can't be referring to them getting the required 30K votes to rejoin the ongoing final round, because by the time the voting is done in the supposed "final" round, the second battle would still be ongoing.

conclusion

so, in conclusion, i think that BTCC wants to add ETC and ETH, without question, to be part of their exchange platform. it would not be hard for ETC and ETH enthusiasts to get 30K votes in one second, in the battle between ETH and XRP. we witnessed that exact scenario, when 30K were added in a flash. obviously, bots are at work. even, if there are no bots, there is a 4 hours difference. which means, that once the "final" round is finished, ETC people can turn their focus to the other battle and get ETH the 30K votes necessary.

BTCC can do whatever they wish, but this to me appears to be a publicity stunt in order to get more exposure for the exchange's name. nothing more.

ETH is not only worth much more than STEEM, but it is also the next best thing that happened in cryptocurrency after BTC. so, i do not think that this exchange, BTCC, would rather have STEEM over ETH.

in the end, i don't know how many coins will be added. these votes are kind of useless. BTCC is going to do what they want to, regardless of the results of this vote.

let's just hope that STEEM gets added along with all the other great coins. that being said, to be honest, i would still encourage to continue to vote and spread the word.

If voting mattered, they wouldn't let us do it :p

i was a fool to believe it mattered.

No, I don't think so. I always, always, always err on the side of fairness. It's important. Regardless of the number of times you get burned, it matters ...

i agree. that is why i still wrote in this very blog to continue to vote.

voted. vote for the great steem community

I agree. It must be bots. I thought maybe Steem has the larger community
