Whether it would be enough to make a Steemit competitor is a question.
That's interesting. I haven't checked out Golos in a long time, I'll do so.
The current Golos have abandoned the Steem code base completly, under the hood it's an remastered EOS fork.

Cyber is the system token. You can earn cyber only by staking and delegating to blok producers and they'll be sharing their rewards with you. The unstaking is instant.
By posting/curating on Golos.io you only earn golos tokens, not cyber tokens.
However the classical Golos is also available on golos.id
Interesting, Golos has made good progress, but ultimately it is still too complicated for regular use.
