RE: Sometimes things aren't as they appear.

Look at the votes given by those criticizing berniesanders. Every single one is downvoted by him as well as his bot accounts. He is promoting censorship on a platform that is supposed to be decentralized. Haejin is not hurting the community, berniesanders is.

If this post is downvoted and censored my point is proven. Wake up people!

Even if everything Haejin has EVER said was based on pure conjecture he is still a positive person in the community. He is trying to help people. Berniesanders, downvoting and flagging anyone against him, is hurting the community.

If you had to hit "SHOW POST" because it was hidden due to low ratings, my point is proven.

The posts are downvoted, they have not been removed. (vs. censored.) This are visible to anyone who wants to click on them and completely visible on many of the front ends that people can use to see the blockchain. Check out Busy for confirmation.

Decentralized means no 1 authority, to come in and solve these problems. They are solved via our votes both up and down.

I don't think @haejin is hurting the community, in many people's view he is being allocated too much of the reward pool. When that happens in a decentralized community such as ours the solution (and the only tools we have) is to use their votes in the form of a downvote.

When a post is posted it has a 7 day window, end users can..

  1. Upvote
  2. Downvote/Flag
  3. Do nothing.
At the end of the 7 days the post pays out.
I think Haejin is likely posting excellent content that is useful to some of you who like to trade with that style. That doesn't mean that in the percentage of all the users and all the topics that it is beneficial to the entire community for him to reap those rewards. Whether you like that or not, it is how it works. Have a great day.

" If you and @haejin's trolls could quit screaming at everyone around the platform that would be great."

We are not the ones causing problems. I am merely defending someone who has helped me.

I understand how the steem system works, but that doesn't mean it is perfect and couldn't be improved. @berniesanders calling haejin followers "shills" who are ruining the system (while he is using the same 10 accounts to spam massive downvotes on anyone he disagrees with) is incentivizing the same people to continue flagging bernie. It has also created a two sided argument, where everyone is either pro bernie or pro haejin.

If we can show that the system is broken, perhaps it can be fixed. If steem wants to be a decentralized social platform, there needs to be no avenue of censorship. They could remove flagging, or remove the hide post function. While the idea of money behind posts produces good content, the two sided arguments flagging creates is causes anarchy and meaningless content. Half of bernie's posts in the past two weeks have been low effort whining about haejin. Half of haejin's posts have been complaining about bernie.

Shouldn't we all simply want better content?
