Let Steemit Work On The Blockchain, We Can Cover The Rest!
Teamwork is the way to success and there´s no reason, why it should be different in regards to the steem ecosystem. We don´t need Steemit Inc. to create an amazing social media page while simultaneously taking care of the maintenance and improvement of the steem blockchain itself after all.
During the last months we could see a lot of amazing projects being build on top of steem and somehow I think that this trend will keep going in 2018. So rather than complaining about missing features on steemit we should focus on supporting projects like busy.org, which provide a ways better frontend already.
That being said I´m of the opinion that we should allow Steemit Inc to exclusively focus on the underlying blockchain, while we take care of the rest. Actually just yesterday someone said the same within the Witness Talk on MSP-Waves (unfortunately I don´t remember who it was exactly, so maybe one of you can can help me out to shout out the credit for it!).
Amazing Projects Based On The Steem Blockchain!
I guess I don´t have to get a lengthy text written on all the amazing projects, which got already build based on the steem blockchain. Busy.org is only one example while there are many other great examples out there:

What We Can Expect From The Future!
Taking into account that we are still at the very beginning of the crypto adoption and that the potential of the steem blockchain is simply limitless the above projects are just the start of a huge revolution. Steem will conquer every single niche of social medias over the course of the next years, so stay involved, involve yourself and be ready for an awesome future!

@steembusiness I get more and more excited everyday not only by what STEEMIT can mean for people in improving their lives but by how many more people I get to meet in my Life just by being active and interacting with others here. The Rewards are SBD and STEEM !
The real rewards aren't the tokens but the people you interact with. That will stick in your memories not how many tokens you've earned. That's just a nice side effect ;)
This is true from the short experience i have had so far in the community.
Most people join for the money and eventually end up making crucial connections with the wonderful people in this community

seeing the list of new things coming on the blockchain makes me very excited about the potential for Steem Steemit and the Steem Community
I think with the changes youtube has just forced on many of its users may drive some to dtube which is only good for us
I've honestly never been a big user of youtube and will probably not be a big one on Dtube either but whenever I should get the possibility to make people move over I'll take it! Steem is the future!
A few of my contacts on FB were complaining about the YouTube changes I told them to head our way and Dtube
I love the decentralized ideas plus some serious cooperation between different people/disciplines! Hope all this project break it out one day and everyone stop using stupid Fb and Ig to use this awesome platform

Totally agree, Dtube is going to be youtube's demise, can't wait. All the nonsense with censorship, just pathetic. Utopian is a great aspect and growing at an amazing rate. @paywithsteem is trying to create more and more use cases for steem in the real world. The future is bright!!
The future is very bright for steem and I can just agree with you that this censorship stuff is annoying. DTube could take over obe day.

Yup, utopian.io is still only a few months old and it is huge. Can't wait to see it 6 months to a year from now.
Another thing you will see in 2018 is more and more ecommerce sites accepting steem. I look forward to seeing more come online. It will motivate users to work harder and drive the price of steem up.

Yes, there are so many projects that have such huge potential. And the best part about it, when these projects are doing great, Steem and SBD prices increase. That means that you don't even need to use Busy.org, D.Tube and so on. Just by holding Steem you are benefiting from all of these project's success. If any of these projects become more popular than any other social media (For example, D.Tube more popular than Youtube in the future), we will see some serious increase in prices and you don't even have to use D.Tube as long as you hold Steem. How awesome is that? It should be in our interests to help these projects grow in popularity, because everyone will benefit from that!
It should be definitely in our all interest to help those projects grow and to use them ourselves to bring some life onto them ;)
