Naming Process

We have reached out to Legal to double check if there are any name-related potential issues or obstacles that may arise during the Foundation naming process. While the name in no way precludes or otherwise affects the goals and work of the Foundation, we are aware that it must be chosen wisely and with due diligence. Your suggestions are, of course, welcome.

Weekly Meeting Held

We held our weekly meeting yesterday and discussed a number of points and tasks. First and foremost, we discussed our current status and what we aim to achieve for the coming week, which is largely focused on the legal structure. We also discussed the name for the Foundation, as above.

We also formulated a potential schedule for the future election of Board of Directors members process. We realise that due notice needs to be given to the community and in relation to the nomination process itself.

Finally, we talked about the commitment and qualifications required of these actual Board of Directors members who will be elected to the Foundation once the structure is in place. This is something we will delve into further in our subsequent updates.

Departing Colleagues

We would like to express our gratitude to those Interim Board members who have resigned.

Regrettably, three of our Interim Board members have contributed all they could in their time with us but made the difficult decision to step off the board. We say goodbye to @justineh (@llfarms), @whatsup and @traveller7761. Their reasons are varied and we wholeheartedly thank them, and hope you will join us in thanking them, for the countless hours they have dedicated to the proposal and building process so far.
