Princess is a software developer with a background in blockchain development and she is part of a local group in the Philippines filled with a handful of software developers and graphic designers. She came to @chrisrice to ask about a card game she built for a school project after @jancharlest approached her to consider developing for the Steem ecosystem.
@chrisrice thought it was cool that they had a game that was already made and mentioned how it wouldn't cost that much to put it on the Steem blockchain in terms of money & time since the game was already made. He also wanted to look at other ideas since @steemmonsters already dominates the card games on Steem and replicating their success might be a bit difficult.
@aggroed is actually the founder of @steemmonsters and made hundreds of thousands of dollars in about a year from it, but he also had prior exterience crowdfunding on the Internet for a prior non-blockchain game that he made. By the end of 2018, @steemmonsters had raised $88,000 USD + on Kickstarter and just this month they raised another $152,000 USD.
It's possible that Princess and her team could replicate some of the success of @steemmonsters but it would likely require amazing marketing talent along the lines of what @aggroed displays for @steemmonsters. If Princess thinks that their game is on par w/Steem Monsters and that her team has the marketing prowess, they could use @steemmonsters as a guideline.
Now if they believe that software development and graphic design is their main specialty, @chrisrice offered an idea that would be easy to market on Steem and in the Crypto currency community nearly for free if another Crypto / Altcoin rally occurs. His strategy would be to build now while the price of Steem is low and there isn't that much competition in order to prepare for another Bull Market where the Steem Mania would be in full gear to benefit from the attention, media coverage and former active Steemians that just might return to the blockchain in full force!
DISCLAIMER Some of the details of this meetup cannot yet be disclosed but @jancharlest is interested in helping Princess and her team create a Steem-based business. As for Princess, she just wants to do what she loves, develop useful software for the public and do it with her fellow developers + the graphic designers that work with them.
