Not many people believe that life is "give and take", to others that principle is a hoax. But at @steem-lagos, we believe in that ideology even though all the different religion of the World support it too, hence giving out Delegated Power week-in-week-out comes into play.
If you are wondering what we stand to gain with this Weekly random giveaways in terms of 500 DSP, we gain nothing, we have no delegated power from any delegated Steem from any Huge account, just the supports in upvotes keeps the contest going. Some might argue that curation rewards is a benefit, but there is no better way to justify this than to check the wallets of this account and see for yourself.
Yet many Newbies takes this contest for granted, some enters without following the rules, some that have won in the past wants to win consequently again while several other similar contest has been inspired by @steem-lagos weekly giveaway which started thirty-eight(38) weeks ago back in Steemit Time. The aim was to foster users and make them remain active, more user activity makes the platform unbeatable, not thousands of dormant account- Minus the Bots!
In the light of this, since @steem-lagos account has no huge Voting power to dish out on Daily articles and blogs we came up with idea of putting our little vesting share into good use by Delegating it to deserving minnows and newbies selected randomly every week, this 500DSP seems little but its massive to some users hence it serves as some sort of encouragement and motivation to them. We have applied to get more supports from huge investors in Steem but none is forth-coming yet due to market forces and other unforeseen circumstances.
This is what we gain in the weekly contest, encouraging Noobs with a 500DSP, who in turn use the vested power to encourage other noobs is our satisfaction @steem-lagos. Therefore, if you a minnow and you fall under the categories of users that qualify to enter the weekly contest, give it a try and most importantly stick to the rules or you get disqualified.
