Has it come to anyone else's attention that their SteemIt Account values are grossly overstated? 

The Account Value shown is based on the Steem token trading at almost US $0.20 (US $0.1979 to be exact), but that is not the case. In fact, Steem is now trading at just over US $0.14 (US $0.1425 to be exact at the time of writing). https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/steem 

So what does this mean? Well, it means that the true value of our SteemIt Accounts is almost 40% less that their stated values. In my case, my $135.17 account is only worth ~ $97.00.

It has also come to my attention, that when we transfer Steem to Steem Dollars, and vice-versa, the exchange rate is anything but reasonable. 

Yes, Blocktrades may indeed claim to charge only a 1% fee for the transfer, but what they don't tell you, is the actual exchange rate they use for the transfer. By my estimate, every time we make such a transfer, we lose as much as 20% or more of our funds, simply because we are not given the true current exchange rate between Steem and Steem Dollars.

I would strongly urge the powers that be at Steem / Steeemit to look into these matters very closely. This is simply NOT right!!!
