FB Goal for 2018 Includes Making It "Time Well SPENT"
Is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg feeling the heat of the STEEM platforms? In a New Year’s interview, Zuckerberg highlighted several hopes for 2018, including "making sure that time spent on Facebook is time well spent."
Is it just me, or have platforms such as Steemit and Busy, which have zero ad-clutter, and pays its users to actively interact, via talk/blog/vlog; gotten his attention?
A few weeks ago, I learned that FB has a 70-billion-dollar valuation, next to the approximate one billion-dollar value of Steem. And, you might be interested to know that "FB is on track to earn at least $16 billion in profits in 2017."
I'm curious to know how many of those earnings will land in the wallets of its users, especially those who could afford the extra income. I'll wager a bet, that for most, these profits netted a zero rate of return for the average user.
A bit off topic; but, I would love to see a STEEM-backed social-media app introduced. Friends and family would have to join; and, the funds generated for payout would occur much the same way Steemit is done today. Incorporated within blogs would be an additional feed for instant messaging 'friends'. Of course, I'd like to see it kept separate from the current layout of the blogging platform; because, let's face it, instant messaging is a mega distraction!
Here’s the link to the article. It turns out that it's primarily an opinion piece, with little real conversation from Zuckerberg:
