Dear reader - Steem has been renamed to Hive since May 2020. My content therefore has moved with me to Hive, and I hope to see you there: peakd.com/@soyrosa.
you know when you read something and you get a picture in your head that makes you giggle?
....well....
Proof of my sense of silliness, nothing to do with the post...
Thank you for the great summary of the discussion on the show @soyrosa.
I should have the recording up on 3Speak tomorrow morning.
Thanks for creating a time and place for people to come and share @pennsif! Very useful and a lot can be talked about in an hour, so I've certainly missed stuff - glad we have the recording :-)

Thanks for sharing this! It helps me understand a little more.
Glad to hear @sjarvie5! That's why I took the notes and made the post, some things are hard to grasp if they are left unexplained.
Thanks for the summary!
This will certainly improve communication and engagement 👍🏽

Yes - I really believe so as well! Looking forward to it :-)
Community is a power! Thank you for a good summary!
Might be the most powerful thing for Steem indeed!
Really looking forward for the community feature~!

Me too! It's the thing that will make sure we have more social and 'playing' opportunities on Steem - plus smaller communities will be good for retention, the more specific the community the better :-)
Yes, it is currently too crowded at Steemit (Trending and Hot), even with not more than 3K active users. Community function will give us more dedicated smaller groups and interests and will make postings on Steem more attractive for all kind of interests. Means, you don't need to see anything you are not interested anymore when we have communities~. Woot! Woot!
Exactly! I'm thinking about all those niche groups on Facebook that could come over here, and the subreddits with weirdly specific topics that seem to engage so many... It's way easier to onboard one community/100 people too instead of trying to appeal to 'the general masses'.
Anyway, good stuff ahead and as it doesn't require a HardFork we might see it in the not too distant future :-)
Excellent break down! I'm super excited about communities . Been waiting for them since I've been here.
Thanks @steemitqa! And yes, I'm probably more excited about communities than anything else we've seen on Steem or even will see on Steem, as they will make Steem more customizable and therefore recognizable for non-Steem users as it will give us more of the 'expected' features other social media/community sites have. It will help getting people feel more at home on Steem quicker :-)
