I've not been able to track down anything to source this, so take it with a grain of salt as I could easily be mistaken.
I think I remember hearing something saying that it was found to be a too difficult and/or problematic task so development was stopped on this. It may be worth asking furion though, this is just what I remember hearing and don't really want to be passing around incorrect info.

No problem, I remembered that being asked in the past.
I hear you there...the functionality of that would be very handy. Atm only youtube and vimeo vids are embeddable here.
