Yep, enough traders see that chart flat-lining and the buys come in to bid it up. This move is probably sustained, I favor that this is not a pop and drop but it actually going up and staying up.

Judging by the amount of comments I get, I'd say steemit is not quite popular yet, I mean, it needs more users, alot of stuff goes unnoticed. As an example, if you make the stupidest video on Earth, and post it on Youtube, you best believe someone is going to comment on it, even if a simple "lol".
The price might be inflated a bit, due to the rise of bitcoin. It is just the popularity of bitcoin and the word Cryptocurrency in general, accounting for this gains. I want to buy some, but I'm going to wait for it to drop again. And someday hopefully, Steemit becomes alot more popular, and more people start using this coins.
Steemit is most definitely in its infancy serenoblues - but there are guys like you and me and the others who have replied here who want to see it grow. The trick is - align yourself with these interesting people.
In my early days I used to say you should spending 3x the amount of time reading the works of others and commenting, than you would put into drafting posts yourself. Just something to keep in mind.
