Actually, they are paying GoogleTM but, STEEMIT is getting some of FacebookTM's advertising budget indirectly. Even VIMM is using the same type of advertising, which is smart.
These poor developers can't sustain their DAPPs constantly operating in the red. Most Steemitizens are very generous, yet; it does take fiat to keep these things going.
I share my posts sometimes as well as other posts. As I said I am fine with it. Does not bother me at all. Also, it is Google Adsense so it is not like FacebookTM is directly purchasing ad space.
True. I earn some fiat from running Google ads on all my old Blogger blogs. God way to learn which companies are investing in certain Key words on my many blogs. Free money every day.
