This post hits a home run with me. Your point about the Internet didn't develop smoothly is a perfect analogy! Windows 3.1 for Workgroups with Netscape and a 14.4 modem ... what was that IRQ again? Why isn't it working?

Of course, Microsoft still have bugs even years after they release something.
