Finally some peace and quietsteemCreated with Sketch.

Since a few days I've had issues to get notifications about the activity of my blog, since the main steemit node that my script was using to access the data have had issues.

Less bot activity

First I was a little annoyed about this, but then I have also noticed a decrease in bot activity.

The past weeks I've seen numerous post about the many spam comments that's been filling the posts on steemit. Most of the comments only says 'Cool, nice post. Vote me to' etc.

More real comments and curations

It seems that most of the bot activity have also noticed this effect. I've had less weird comments, as well as less votes than normal.

This might be a good chance for some real curation rewards, as the bots seem less active. Many of the big actors, like steemvoter, seems to be using their own access node though.

Let's take the time and see how this pans out instead of getting annoyed on the fact that some things may not work 😇

I hope comment bots will be gone forever. Its unfair to the people that read, analyze the post before do a comment . While the bot just going to comment useless things.

Exactly. They are only doing those posts to lure people in to voting for them, or self voting.

I have no grudge against people using voting guilds or the likes. I do it myself, since I have no time to vote on the users I like and follow and support. I do manual curation as well, of course, to find new interesting people as well anyway.

Thank you for filling the void 😋

i have been spammed by the same bots , hope steemit will work on a way to curb them

Personally, I find the upvote bots useful because they level out the playing field towards the bigh fish in the steemit pond. And somehow those bots have to advertise themselves, but I do agree, sometimes they do irritate, don't you think too, @cleverbot?
