[BEWARE] STEEMIT COPY CAT - Looks like STEEM has some COMPETITION!

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

With the MASSIVE SUCCESS of Steemit.com I have no doubt we will see an onslaught of clones, copy cats and scammers trying to get their piece of the action. I smell jealousy in the air :-)

STEEM will always be the original & trusted platform that started it all :-)

Yours is a new decentralized content network that uses bitcoin to reward creators. As the project gets closer to launch, more details have surfaced from the development team, and a new project website has just been revealed.

Brave New Coin posted this article coincidentally came out a the perfect time to promote this new project.

The Video on their website is amateur at best

STEEM is light years ahead of this project and has gained a significant network effect. I would be weary of copycats and others trying to profit from the hype and success of Steemit.

Steemit could create a new age of intellectual discourse. Copycats in the end will benefit Steemit by giving the theory behind it credence! Take a look at this article about Steemit's possible place in history based on its effect on free speech:

I might check it out since I get no love here.

for 3 weeks that I am here it was only 1 time when a good guy @smooth upvoted my comment and gave me some bucks. And this comment was about our shitty fucking future)

Sorry but I think this has been in development for a year now. And it's built on the bitcoin blockchain. Hardly a copycat but they are competition.

I wonder what they will do about trying to imitate 'Steem Power' since they are dealing with bitcoin. Interesting to say the least.

Check out Ethreal.

Future of any business of this kind depends on shared sense of belonging. Only time will tell who will succeed and who will fail but one that is the most inclusive will eventually succeed. So, if the Steemit has to succeed, it should compete with others. After all, monopoly doesn't encourage creativity.

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 11.9 and reading ease of 52%. This puts the writing level on par with Michael Crichton and Mitt Romney.
