Ex Steem proof: ‘I got Threats From a Hive User’

A former Steem witness heavily involved in the Korean cryptos community recently revealed evidence to Cointelegraph that he received death threats from a Hive user prior to Steem’s 0.23 hard fork. This witness, who chose to remain anonymous, cited ongoing threats to him and his family as the main reason he quit prior to the 0.23 hard brace

According to the witness, the threats included direct messages from a Korean Hive user, threatening to come to his house at night and destroy it. In addition, the discussion groups contained disturbing messages, focusing not only on him but also on other Korean witnesses who committed violence. Faced with increasing danger, the witness resigned, a decision mirrored by many other vulnerable Korean witnesses.

Now being the only Steem user, the witness emphasized the importance of stabilizing Steem through the said Steem witnesses. Despite the turmoil, there is a collective effort among the community to steer the Steem blockchain towards growth and development.

Contrary to witness accounts, Dan Notestein, CEO of BlockTrades and former chief Steam tenant now active at Hive, offered another perspective Notestein suggested that many Steam tenant resignations were likely motivated by legal concerns rather than threats if it is obvious. He speculated that fear of possible legal repercussions could serve as a motivation for their own decisions.

Notestein also shed light on the involvement of the TripleA group by accusing them of supporting the fraudulent use of STEEM tokens. He referenced a recent Steemit post detailing how the group quit amid threats of violence.
