Contest and comments... for me I need more than a year to understand that. I think these two informations are pretty difficult to people to understand.
For me, now... I comment at least 30 times per day... And think that is a lower number. We need to have more interaction here on steem and comments give that.

With 30 thoughtful comments per day you should be adding at least 6 new followers a day. Is this accurate?

Thinking only about the follower quantity... I got at least 3 per day, but the majority of them have less than 1k SP. In fact, many of them have less than 400 SP.
Low SP value followers are true across the board. But some of them might become dolphins and even orcas in the future so it's a worthwhile investment.
By the way, people love personal stories incorporated into the posts. This would help attract more followers at an even greater rate, I think.

Totally agree with the long term followers, which could be a huge player. I think in a long term, I prefer to have a good relationship with everyone without see the value of the account, since I think the interaction have a huge intrinsic value.

I'd like to have a fast forward button to be able to see in a few years how successful my followers will become. You are welcome...

I see many of mines pass me in size of the blog. I be awesome when I saw people passing by me that I helped to grow.
