There is incentive from @oracle-d to vote for Steem.
There are numerous bounty to encourage voting for Steem.
You just need an email address. If you think that Netcoins can sell your email, then use your secondary, less used email to vote. Encourage your family members to vote.
If 3000 Steemitian with multiple email id have voted, Steem would have been in Number#1 already.
The voting contest also shows the seriousness of the community.
When @ned comes calling, everybody should vote.

I was also surprised to see @ned chime in on this initiative. However, when you look at the potential upside from this type of listing, the value that could be created is great. Having a direct merchant payment option would be great for @ned's goal of 100,000 entrepreneurs on the STEEM blockchain.
It looks like an experimental community work that precursors how community can pull out a major event together. Steem is on the verge of second position and just 1000 votes behind first place.
