While the idea about smt is great,there are a few things we need to know. Questions like how will millions of people creating their own tokens affect steemit.

is it millions now? Last I checked there were only 250,000 users on steemit but that was like a month ago. That's including inactive users.
No not now, am talking about future. if 1m out of 50m users decide to have their own tokens then it will be pretty messy
I would assume it helps the value given that it uses the blockchain. I don't think it would dilute the price if that is what you are referring to since each token is essentially it's own currency and has it's own value.
it might help the value of steem but at the same time it can dilute.
