Steemit is the way of the future for me. Its such a great platform. Looking at these stats tho its easy to see why so many people dont stay - the ammount of posts each day do make it very hard as a new Steemian to get noticed. You have to play the long game though and focus on making and maintaining new connections.
Its sad how many people come and go on here really - but I guess some people arent keen on the hard work early on
