I suppose this scenario would be nice but you would have to include the exterior influence that established value in the Steem currency. The steemit environment needs to be supported by an exterior catalyst just as outside advertisers bring in the revenue for youtube. This may start to enter the platform but it's still very early in the game.
Steem is going to get a lot of outside investement soon for many reasons. SMTs are one of them. It would be very interesting to see which companies and entrepreneurs choose to invest in Steem to be able to use the SMT protocol for their online businesses.
