RE: THE DOOM AND GLOOM I'M SEEING ABOUT STEEM; TO WHAT MEANS IS THIS END?

only 40% has been constructively criticising and 60% has been blind, unprojective, biased and based on price comparison with bitcoin.

You hit it crystal clear here Jose. The important thing is to be constructive in criticism. If it's not constructive, no one can act upon it. Even when I point out steems issues that need addressing in a forthright way,I always do it with the solutions in mind.

I think the issue comes down to this for me; some of the people who are at the top of the pile are the ones perpetuating the bad aspects of steem. And the minnows, dolphins and even most orcas are the ones pushing decent community behavior. This makes it very difficult, near impossible, for you or me to change anything at a fundamental level because the money men at the top will simply say.. 'what's in it for me.'

Add into this that most of them are top witnesses and that is what makes steem quite centralized in it's governence model. Obvs it's a decentralized blockchain and the witnesses have to work with each other based on consensus, but the witnesses with the highest rankings, if they join together in a group can pretty much veto anything. Something to think about.

This is obviously the sad truth there seems to an oligarch texture to the structure and it's definitely not cool since it makes it seems all the really definitive decisions are being made by the witnesses
