Well, I added issue 2428 intentionally not on steemit but github to prevent using this exploit.. And now it's all over public.

If it is on GitHub then it is technically already public :)
Even though technically any user can exploit what is there, it is a fair amount of work to go through. It would likely only be worth it for an account with a large stake - and most of the people with that much stake are probably aware of what gets discussed in the GitHub repository.
