Starting out on my investment journey

in #steem7 years ago

I joined Coinbase today. I had to do a little research into how to buy Steem in the first place. Realizing I needed to join some sort of exchange I checked out Bittrex first after seeing it on a post. They're not accepting new accounts at the moment because the volume has increased so much they needed to work on their back end. Next was Coinbase. I joined and linked an account, knowing it would be a few days until it was verified. I matched up what crypto curriencies are on both Coinbase and Steemit. I came up with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. I saw the tweet from Vitalik Buterin, co- founder of Ethereum, about making child pornography legal so I won't invest in them. Ever.

So that leaves Bitcoin and litecoin to get to Steem. So I'm mapping a plan, I have to buy bitcoin and litecoin to then buy Steem, but to keep it diversified I should keep some bitcoin and litecoin, right? This isn't my forte to say the least. What I'm planning to do once verified is 50/50 BC/LC then taking 50% of each of those and splitting it between Steem/Dollar/Power. Let me know if this is just asinine. If you're thinking of joining Coinbase, here is my shameless referral to get $10: https://www.coinbase.com/join/5a566e88df8c10045547b5ff

I figure I'll make a post on what I did once verified and post an update maybe 2 weeks or a month later.
