I believe the step X will be priced in well ahead of its time, and hopefully a monetization plan will be implemented before that happens or we'll have a huge problem.
Considering it has only been 3 months and that this is the first significant drop i think we'll see at least 2 more drops before step X. So i'd give it at least 6 months before we see any structural changes here.
But i really hope it happens sooner.
