How To Get Your Hands On Some EOS
If your living in America and want some EOS Tokens this is (in my opinion) the safest and easiest way to do it.
First step is to download Exodus Digital Asset Manager to your computer

Exodus is one of my favorite ways to store crypto with peace of mind. Its easy to use and allows even beginners to delve into the crypto world and learn their way in this market.
A huge feature of Exodus is being able to exchange between coins. Im gonna use a small amount of LiteCoin to exchange for EOS Tokens
Just pick which coin you wanna exchange for EOS, add in how much you want to exchange and Exodus shows you how much youll get for the exchange.
Hit the exchange button and the next thing you know your EOS Tokens are in the process of being deposited to your EOS wallet located right in Exodus.
Less than five minutes later my EOS Tokens were deposited into my Exodus wallet

Exodus actually uses ShapeShift to do any exchanges, I love it. Even their support is amazing, once shapeshift screwed up the transaction but they got my funds back in hours
I'm in the US and was able to participate in the coin distribution by using a VPN. just putting it out there
Pretty sad when you got to fake them out in order to get what you want. Still Exodus is an awesome wallet.
