U could ask the same question why people did not invest in Amazon for over 10 years. Everything happen in the last 10 years. U can look at Amazon's chart 10 years ago and 20 years ago : https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/
So I will say, we don't know... No body really knows why.
