The Montreal steemit meetup of march 24th and 2 years steemit bday (English version)

It was with great anticipation that me and Seb arrived at the restaurant Invitation V for the steemian reunion. We always say that steemit is a great big family, yes we all interact with each other in the virtual world...

But getting to meet everyone in person is exciting and quite another thing!

We all got on steemit for different reasons, we are a diverse crew, all with different experiences, different pasts and points of view, all very authentic individuals!

Montreal is a city like no other, she has a life of her own. It is well known that us Montrealers are friendly! We love to get together and we love having people over to visit. Having a steemit meetup here is guaranteed to be full of fun and real convivial.

The plan was to meet in the old port of Montreal at the vegan resto Invitation V. Our dear @teamsteem had a special reservation for us, a big long table with the whole mezzanine all to ourselves to better enjoy each other's company over some food and drinks. Good thing because we were quite a big group. As everyone showed up, got acquainted and the entrance was getting packed we headed up to our table.

Some of our fellow guests we had met before at last year's steemit meetup at the Winston Churchill pub, like our dear friends and talented artists, the creators, producers and geniuses behind the Juju Gum Conspiracy (the first ever movie on the steemit blockchain) the terrible twosome @vachemorte and @juliakponsford, also our good friends from the @steemquebec crew, the one and only @pnc, our best sushi in town, saxophoneman and philosopher @soushi888 and the very talented writer and sweet lady @lautre!

We got to meet some new cool Quebeckers like @teamsteem, @lymepoet, @nickskywalker, @cryptoctopus, @darsico, @transisto and @mirella , each of them fabulous and super interesting, beautiful, talented and awesome peeps.

Cherry on the cake, two very special ladies that came a long way to joins us!! The sweetest, bubbly and very special @karensuestudios from California, USA.... And last, but not least... Our beloved metal queen! and witness! and Full Force Thursdays radio host on the Peace and Liberty network, the one and only @crimsonclad, all the way from the west coast of Canada in beautiful British Columbia. Having spent the best of thursdays together, so many times and with all our friends over on @msp-waves ( \m/ ), me and Seb were so happy to finally get to meet you and hang out! We love you crimmy!

So everyone got to know each other, we mingled, there were many interesting, passionate conversations and time flied by so fast! Nearing the end of the supper we started thinking about where the wind would blow us next. Then appeared @helo with a friend and the chatting continued on the mezzanine, a few pictures were taken including that great family picture that you can see on @helo's post about the meetup. (it being late we had already lost a few who had to leave early and are not on the picture) A lot of us probably didn't take much pictures because we were having too much fun.
I took very few pictures and all of them are blurred :) .
But eh, what happens in Montreal stays in Montreal, hahaha.

So we headed out to our next destination, some by car and here's a few of us at metro Peel, onwards to Crescent street downtown.

To a karaoke bar?

This place which none of us locals knew existed, was a totally unexpected discovery,
the real deal, a karaoke place serving many drinks including sake, private rooms by the hour, all setup with lyrics and dance moves on a tv screen. It was a first for many of us I think.
But the place was packed and a lot of cool kids hang out there! Once things got setup, the first couple of songs were put on.
Of course, @crimsonclad could have easily done a takeover, ( like taking candy from a baby) we all know she has a such beautiful voice and with mic in hand she's a natural and a great entertainer. There has to be some special mentions, first for the amazing stage performance and singing from @cryptoctopus who wowed us all, as for dance moves the stars go to @nickskywalker's unique swag and @pnc who'se moves are as smooth as they come.

Most naturally we had to end the night with something nice, like a much needed slice of pizza and a place where it's comfy and we can chill, one of the best places to do that is at an Irish pub. We went to Hurley's pub where a live band was playing and we got a table in a good spot.

It was a beautiful evening, all because of the awesome people that were there and we want to extend our thanks for the truly exceptionnal company, it was great to meet and get to know all of you and many thanks to @teamsteem for getting us all together and organising the meetup, much love to you!So this is it, happy 2 year anniversary steemit, success to all on your journey and meetups all over the world!
