Give me a good reason...

in #steem5 years ago

So, why should I stick to steemit and not sell all my tokens and go to another platform?

I am kind of looking for a good reason to not abandon steemit.

I have been away for almost a year, and came back with hopes that things have changed... But no... Everything looks the same...

Everytime I log in, it's the same bullshit of a year ago:

  • Witness shilling how amazing steem blockchain will become on the future
  • people saying that steem/sbd price is temporary and will moon soon (basic supply/demand economics: it will be damn hard, almost impossible for the price to reach the old high)
  • @berniesanders burning everything on the way as usual (pretty fun though. I like that guy)
  • whales circle jerking themselves while saying to the minnow to "keep working" (sounds familiar?)
  • shitty ui and frontend, (although @steempeak seems to get things on the right direction)
  • hard fork breaks the blockchain again.

And the most important thing: THERE IS NO INTERESTING CONTENT!

Besides very few interesting people, everything I see written here is about steem itself, or shitty articles trying to "look good".

Really? After all these years, not one single witness/whale understood that what will make this place thrive is attracting people that actually create good content?

Or, if that is not the point of steem, but it should should work like others social network, stop the bullshit talk about "quality content".

Come on... After all those years... Is it time to jump ship?

There is no interesting content because the community drove away everybody who created content. The message was basically that content creators are the lowest form of shit on Steemit, and as soon as we get rid of those pesky content creators, the chain will blossom.

I must have some masochistic tendencies, or somethin' ...lol

It's my understanding that the rules now favour content creators more again.

I am still not sure... But I will wait for a while and see what happens.

Remember that stream platform that were built here on steem (dlive?) That abandoned steem changed the name (ninja something)?

While people around here were complaining about it, they were making a deal with PewDiePie to promote their platform.

I just find it amazing that not one single witness/whale ever talk about attracting established creators, therefore attracting more users...

I even though about buying some steem these days, but after seeing what is being written here.... Meh...
