RE: Writing Popular Comments: Top 5 Tips for Posting an Honest, High-Paying Reply
Everyone please be aware that the changes are still in discussion! The different sides are trying hard to find a consensus, and absolutely nothing is fixed by now!
This may be a great opportunity to overthink why you're here, and if your short term gains are more important than a great platform that's fun to use. Everyone gaming the system risks to discourage valuable "honest" users.
Thanks for clarifying. I've updated the post to make sure no one gets the wrong idea. One way or another, I feel that comments will be rewarded much more heavily than in the past. Personally, I'd rather see thoughtful comments rather than knee-jerk ones, and I hope people voting on comments will agree.
I'd definitely love to see that. The economical rules shouldn't limit discussions as they do right now. I brought it up on the table on slack again, let's see what our mathemagicians come up with, and what the coders think about it.
I'm absolutely amazed to watch this coming together. What an awesome community.
Yeah the slack conversations are intense.
What about vote? I think we should reserve at least 25% of our vote for comments.
Probably. If there's some middle ground that pleases everyone, that would be great. With the voting, I think there's still a great concept to sell, particularly the game theory aspect of the big potential rewards. But sitting there with a trigger finger and swarming the top posters is pretty ridiculous. It needs to be more fun than that for more people. I'd like to see strong incentives for comments also. Best of both worlds?
