With Steem taking a bit of a backseat and yet still being a viable monetary platform it is very evident how lacking these crypto platforms are when it comes to true social media.

Now that might just me being in an old school blogging mind and I have never even had a blog so not sure how it works but I do think Steem has an identity crisis which is further empathized by the delusion that the community can govern itself.

The chains utility is mainly off-chain, and as a blogging system is merely a means for people to self indulge. This is not just a Steem thing it is Hive also since well they are the same thing just with different thoughts of being righteous.
