MY SINCERE APOLOGY TO STEEMIANS
I (@oneday1) render a sincere apology to the entire steemit community for my shameful act yesterday. Posting article I did not write was not part of me until yesterday I posted a copied work from a site forgetting to credit the author and to make reference to the page. This is act is called PLAGIARISM.
Plagiarism* is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work. WIKIPEDIA
Plagiarism* is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. OXFORD DICTIONARY
Plagiarism* is when someone uses another person’s words, ideas, or work and pretends they are their own LONGMAN DICTIONARY
I AM VERY SORRY ✅
FORGIVE ME ✅
IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN ✅
I HAVE LEARNT A LESSON ✅
I would like to advice my fellow steemians who engage in such act to desist from it since it is strongly prohibited in this community. You would not like what you would go through if you are caught in such act. I am fortunate my post was placed back. Also take notice that such act can lead to your account being banned.
KINDLY DESIST FROM PLAGIARISM. I DEVOTE MYSELF TO FIGHT PLAGIARISM IN THIS COMMUNITY AND HENCE FORTH I AM THE SELF APPOINTED PERSON IN THE COMMUNITY TO CHECK PLAGIARISM.
I encourage the software programmers in this community to create an app (application) or software that could prevent the posting of copied work. Please let us come together to programme a software to fight plagiarism. We can create software with a name like Steem Mywork ®, Steem OriginalWork ®, MyWork MyPost ® etc.
THANK YOU.
Kindly and let us fight against PLAGIARISM.
Apology accepted, mate.
Cheers!
Thank you!
It is good to say sorry, if you feel really.
Keep it up.
Yes...I truely feel sorry.
@oneday1, thank you for not only humbly apologizing for your error in judgement, but also for writing this article. It illustrates not only what you did, but the aftermath, and the way you felt after everything played out. I think this is helpful for others to read. It will help some people avoid making the same mistake. It would be great if there could be a program or filter that would prevent plagerism, but I fear that even the best bots we have still need the human counterpart to screen the flagged content. There is no way that this screening could be done prior to posting. However, there are many people on the platform that keep an eye out, and now you are added to their ranks. That transformation alone is a success story.
Yesterday I withdrew my upvote from your plagerized article after reading the comments, and then researching the original article on Wired.
Today is a new day, and a fresh start for you!
Because of your turn-around and apology, I've upvoted and resteemed this article as one of my daily post promotions on the @mitneb Curation Trail. It will be featured in my daily curation report on 06 JAN 2018.
Cheers!
Thank you very much. I feel refreshed now. Good comment. Keep it up! ✅

The most important thing is that you have accepted your mistake and apologized for it . The only thing left is not to do that again
