According to Wikipedia corruption is defined as a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit. Corruption may include many activities including bribery and embezzlement, though it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries.Government, or 'political', corruption occurs when an office-holder or other governmental employee acts in an official capacity for personal gain.

In Africa, especially Ghana the democratic government is practiced where a political party is given the chance to rule the country for 4years..And after the 4years the people can decide to maintain or change the political party on power. Due to the money invested in the party’s campaign...the political party that comes into power make sure to recover their money invested. By so doing they position unqualified personal to occupy post in government sectors just to make back the money invested into the campaign. This political leaders also overdraft contacts just to make a small percentage on it.
Because of this action the economy especially the youth in question faces a lot of unemployment issues which affect the productivity of the country. Our dear leaders don’t think about this but rather how to send their families to the foreign countries to live a Comfort lives at the expense of the hard paid taxes of their citizens....
Example :is the Ghanaian former youth and sport minister who was alleged to have blown over GH¢16.640 of the taxpayers’ sweat on his child’s pampers, food, oil and a host of other fleeting desires, he was said to have ordered for the release of over GH¢1.4 million to the Sports Council without the approval of the Chief of Staff.
This is the trouble facing us as Africans.
