I figured it was a distributed reward model like most of STEEM vs a central authority rewarding answers. That seems like a way to abuse the system.

Yeah musing is the only one I know of. Sad if it's already dead now. I would still answer questons there. Like today, I think it's a good time to answer questions and post them to Steemit too so other people can still vote on the posts. :)
