Steemit 101 - How and What You Need to Register on Steemit

There is absolutely nothing as troubling as wanting to start a great course but not knowing how to start or even worst, starting it wrongly.

This is why my first @NETWonks tutorial of the year 2018 will be about how to register on steemit.

When I registered on steemit I had to use quite a lot of call card so I can be directed by some steemians who were already in the system.

Things Needed To Join Steemit

All of the following will be needed to sign up on @steemit

• Browsable device:
  This may be your computer, tablet or phone.
  Your device must have good amount of RAM as steemit.com takes lots of it.
• Active Email Address:
  To get steemit accounted approved quickly you should consider using a very active email address.
  Do not worry, Steemit does not spam nor sell your mail

Note that you will be required to verify your email; So be sure to use a working email when registering on steemit.

• Phone Number:
  Also a phone number verification is required for you to complete registration on steemit.
• Internet Data:
  Of course steemit.com requires the internet before its contents could be accessed.

How To Register On Steemit

Kindly follow the steps below to register your account on steemit.

1. Go to www.steemit.com or simply Click Here.

2. Click on sign up located on the top-right hand side of your screen.

3. Insert the name/nickname you will want to use on steemit.

4. Enter your active email address. (You will receive a confirmation link almost instantly)

5. Choose your country and enter your working phone phone number. (You will also receive a text within 3 minutes; this text will contain a 5 digits pin)

6. Enter the 5 digits pin you got from step 5 and click on confirm.

7. Goto your email and follow the confirmation link to confirm your email.

8. Wait for a period of 6 hours to 7 days for your account to be fully verified and approved. (You will receive a mail notification once your account has been fully verified)

9. Follow the link sent to you and save up your password.

The confirmation link sent to your inbox will lead to an auto-generated long password.

It is very important that you save this password down immediately (both offline and online) because once lost, it can not be retrieved again.
