What Am I Doing Wrong? Please help.

in #steem5 years ago

My blog articles are well thought out and not written too badly. I've included interesting titles, appropriate tags, and photos. I'm not getting much exposure. What am I doing wrong?

I could use a little advice.

Being a NSFW (mostly) blog, I know that my brand awareness here is decreased to a certain niche, but I'm feeling as though I could be doing something better.

Help?

I don't think that you are doing anything wrong exactly. Starting a new blog here is the same as anywhere else. You need to network, create your brand and reach like minded people who want to see your content. Nothing happens overnight but takes time and energy to be seen. I haven't checked out the dporn site itself but it has only gotten up and running in the last few weeks so I assume that it has a very small userbase so far.

Keep posting. Maybe interact with some other creators posts on the site to show your presence and grow as a group. Interact and share each others work and you will get there. I recommend checking out @eveuncovered on the steempeak.com interface. Don't know if she is posting on dporn as she was here long before it and creates artistic based photos. But an interesting user and a successful one.

Well for starters, the #nsfw tag should only be used if there is actually something clearly #nsfw about the post. As in, an #nsfw picture, mostly. By default, most Steem websites like steemit.com, steempeak.com, etc., basically hide all #nsfw posts unless a user has specifically opted in to view #nsfw posts. The post thumbnail is hidden, the blurb of the first bit of text is hidden. I just read your post "The Many Personalities of Natashya Monroe - The Dominatrix" and for instance, I don't think you should use #nsfw tag for a post like that.

But really, Steem in general is a tough nut to crack for a newcomer regardless of what kind of content you are posting. Although it is still being sold as a place that rewards quality content, what Steem really does is reward networking. If you haven't already, join some Steem Discord communities, make some Steem friends, network a little. Of course you may not have time for all that shit - but that is the best way to start earning is to make some connections with people and communities here.

Good luck! I like your style :)
