TOP 10 PRODUCTIVITY HACKS TO INCREASE YOUR OUTPUT ON STEEMIT

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

Here are the top 10 ways to increase your productivity and make better use of your time because we all need more hours in our day to post on steemit!!!

1. Do Your Most Dreaded Task First

Every one of us has one or more tasks on our to-do list that we dread doing. Whatever it is, it hangs over your head, distracting you with guilt because it keeps getting pushed to the next day. It’s time to end that cycle. Do it first thing. With steemit you are able to edit posts for a limited amount of time so during this time you can add extra things to it if you need to, just get that post up and earning those STEEMIT DOLLARS!

2. Turn Off Distractions

One of the major productivity killers is the distraction of constant interruptions. Emails, phone calls, people appearing at your door are just some examples. Turn all these distractions off and focus on your task 110%! You will get it done quicker and to a higher standard and we all know what that means…   GOOD CONTENT = MORE STEEMIT DOLLARS

3. Take Breaks

There’s a limit to how long anybody can devote deep focus to a task. Taking breaks is important so that you maintain full concentration on a task, allowing you to complete it to the best quality. To be able to generate those STEEM DOLLARS you need to be putting out content of value to fellow steemit users!

4. Don’t multitask

For 99% of people, multitasking will actually make you less productive. The human brain isn’t wired to multitask, it’s a weakness, not a strength to multitask. Studies have found time and again multitasking will drastically reduce your productivity, sometimes by as much as 40%! Being 40% less productive every single day really adds up over time, severely limiting what you can achieve within your time. You need to value this incredible platform, it could be huge in the future (you have already seen the amount of growth!).

5. Write It Down

Every task, every commitment should be written down. This frees your mind from the energy of trying to remember. The most productive way to get a solid start to the day is to write a to-do list the night before. When you don’t write a to-do list, you will find yourself wasting time instead of focusing on getting things done.

6. Eat Breakfast

Does this need really need explaining?  There are numerous studies confirming the importance of breakfast for maintaining our health. Healthy people are more productive. No matter how busy you are, eat a good breakfast. It’ll fuel you for a terrific start to your day. A healthy body is a healthy mind!

7. Get Some Exercise

Healthy people are more productive. Exercise makes you healthier, so be sure to get some exercise every day. You don’t need to be spend all day at your computer (even if steemit does attract your attention so much), do some exercise to increase productivity output!

8. Audiobooks when commuting

“Formal education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.” - Jim Rohn.

There’s a good chance you will be commuting for at least 30 minutes of your day, so put it to good use! I like to listen to self-development audio books when driving, this propels my learning massive amounts!

9. Get enough sleep

I know some entrepreneurs like to boast about sleeping only a few hours a night and “hustling” 18+ hours a day. However, realistically you need to avoid this as you’d rather get a solid 8 hour sleep and work 14 productive hours, than sleep 4 hours and be unfocused and  unproductive for 18 hours.

10. Set SMART goals

Most people’s New Year’s resolutions are broken in the first week. People set unrealistic goals that they forget about until next New Year’s because they see no progress! They key is to work towards your goals by breaking them down into multiple steps so that you are constantly achieving.

Specific - A general goal has a much smaller chance of being attained than a specific goal. It should include details such as what exactly needs achieving, why you want it achieved, who is involved in achieving it, where you will achieve it and what requirements are needed for you to achieve it.

Measurable - You should be able to measure the progress of your goal whilst on the journey towards it. Measuring your goal as you go helps you reach targeted dates and stay on track. When you measure your progress, you stay on track, reach your target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement that spurs you on to continued effort required to reach your goal.

Attainable – Your goals should be not too easy, but not too hard! You want to set goals that are both attainable and realistic. So this means setting goals that make you stretch to reach them, but are not too hard to such an extent that it becomes virtually impossible to achieve them and due to seeing no progress, you give up!

Relevant - Are your goals relevant to your long-term vision of what you want to achieve? Or will you spend the next 90 days achieving a particular goal that turns out to be relatively pointless and has no relevance to your long- term vision? Relate your goals to your passions in life!

Time-bound - Your goals must have a target time-frame to be achieved within. With no time frame tied to it there’s no sense of urgency. If you want to lose 10 lbs, when do you want to lose it by? “Someday” won’t work. But if you anchor it within a timeframe, “by May 1st”, then you’ve set your unconscious mind into motion to begin working on the goal. Print out your goals and put them up in a variety of places so you will see them throughout the day, this will help keep you motivated and productive and also help to manifest them into reality!
