Great time to convert your steem dollars to steem! Read this!
For anyone who is here for the long run i recommend transferring your steem dollars to steem instead of bitcoin. Price of steem is quite low at this time, around 0.0036. Price is still going down but that has to stop sooner or later, once you see trend reversal in the charts it is a good time to buy.
With that fresh new steem It is a great time to power up (you will get more steem for steem dollars than you could get 10 days ago) With the potential of this platform price of steem will probably go up later in the year and we will never be able to buy at this price ranges. With more steem power you get more voting power, more interest rate, in essence it is a win win situation.
All this is based upon a fact that steemit is revolutional. I would also recommend that whales stop powering down and keep the price up, but i also understand their point of view, with that much money invested they can power down for few weeks to take some profit, break the price and allow others to get in cheaper while they still can. Everything is connected here. Whales do what whales must.
I also want to state to everyone to invest wisely, don't go sellin your house and your wife to buy steem, invest some percentage of your savings and you will do just fine.
Do you think STEEM is going to fall a bit more in the coming weeks? Great, hold SBD and get more STEEM for your bucks once the drop stops and you decide to buy in.
Do you think STEEM is only going to go up up up in the coming years? Great, buy STEEM and power it up.
Do you think STEEM is going to go up for a month or so and then adjust downward again? Great, buy STEEM and hold it out for reselling.
All three of these actions support the Steemit network and the liquidity of our blockchain. The only way to lose is by not joining in.

Powering up supports the ecosystem of Steemit. Sure, it would be good to have some additional BTC but powering up gives in total more value
When i got my first payout here i sold it for bitcoins, price of 1 steem dollar was 1.5 dollars back then. Now things changed and powering up is probably the best action here (for people who are here for the long run).
Been reading lots of criticisms for whales powering down. I tend to disagree just because lots of posts are being skewed towards the whale vote. The platform won't succeed long term if it provides content for them only. It is time for them to remove the power of their vote now that other posters start to gain influence. It will be what it will be, steemit shaped by the people using it.
Interesting to see how all this develops.
During this first week, I finally received the STEEM which I converted from Steem Dollars. It's reasonable to convert to SP because of the interest and support the community. I hadn't really thought about buying Steem because where would you buy them at exactlyand how to transfer it correctly?(I do hope someone can give me a link from steemit that does this correctly) You made more sense on buying STEEM because now it is at reasonable price to upgrade. I do want to contribute to this community and bring more diversity.
You need bitcoin to buy steem if you don't have steem dollars. It is a learning process but you will get there. Use Google, youtube to learn. Probably there are also some tutorials here on steemit. GL

That is true, the opportunity seems great now, because it is pretty cheap, and if steemit will survive: the return is going to be huge.
