Can Someone Explain WTF Just Happened With Steem Dollars?!
Someone bought huge amount of Steem Dollars on Poloniex Exchange. That happened 1h ago and if you had some Steem Dollars on Poloniex you could of sell them up to 7 times of normal value!! I wouldn't even know about it if my friend and steemer @alktoni hadn't call me and told me about it. It is crazy how these things can happen. I think some whale on Poloniex tried to pump the price without even knowing that SBD should be pegged to USD value.

Why do it though? It must be some terrible mistake.
if you do it right it is a simple traders strategy. buy large amounts in a short period of time for cheap, this will drive prices up if the market is small or easy to corrupt and then dump everthing and take the profit =)
Yeah I've seen them do that. I guess they just bought the resistance and set up small sell and buy walls on the way up and probably some traders bought in without knowing. But to do that with steem dollars though, ignorance :) That manipulating whale thief probably made some profit in the process and some people lost money.

It is crazy what is happening right now in crypto space. I managed to sell 22 SBD for 0.091 BTC. Not bad for quick sell from nowhere.

I would of missed it too, I'm buying beer for the tipper friend @alktoni. Managed to get 70bucks out of it. A lot of times in crypto if you are not in the right place at the right time you will miss it. Next time man.

This is another example why it is good to have some liquid steem and steem dollars in case of craziness like this.
Well even if you have liquid steem and steem dollars you pretty much need to watch it 24/7 as this happen really fast and with very little chance of happening.
Let them BUY , more and more !
