Password encryption for dummies

Encryption might scare people off, so I hope once you finished reading you will proudly say:

" Hey I encrypted my own pass, and it was easy. "

So let's start by looking at our keyboard and dividing it into chunks (depending where you're from)
for me I have:

(top to bottom or bottom to top)

  • 1qaz - or - zaq1
  • 2wsx - or - xsw2
  • 3edc - or - cde3
  • 4rfv - or - vfr4
  • 5tgb - or - bgt5
  • 6yhn - or - nhy6
  • 7ujm - or - mju7
  • 8ik, - or - ,ki8
  • 9ol. - or - .lo9
  • 0p;/ - or - /;p0
Once you correlate your keyboard in his simple way a password like "1999-01-01" becomes a pass like "1qaz9ol.9ol.9ol.-0p;/1qaz-0p;/1qaz" - or - "zaq1.lo9.lo9.lo9-/;p0zaq1-/;p0zaq1" (same way yet other encryption)

Your first encrypted password.
Now this is a lot of numbers and I can imagine you don't want to type this much each time, so here is another example using the same technique:

  • 1+1=2 <<<<what you need to remember
  • 1qaz+1qaz=2wsx <<<<<< your encrypted pass (remember you can always flip it)
  • zaq1+zaq1=xsw2 <<<<< (flipped) (adding "++=" and other signs like / > < - _ etc improve your pass)
  • (1)(2)(3) <<<<<< what you need to remember
  • (1qaz)(2wsx)(3edc) <<<<<< your pass ( dont leave out "()" these signs, these improve the pass strength)
  • @work&15 <<<<< what you remember
  • @work&1qaz5tgb <<<<< your pass
  • steem2000
  • steem2wsx0p;/0p;/0p;/

Just 1 more step.........

Now that you can encrypt with ease, please remember to add capitalization like in the examples, pick the first or second or third letter of each chunk i.e.: 1Qaz, 1qAz, 1qaZ (or make 1 chunk all capital or think of another option.)

  • 1Qaz-2Wsx-3Edc - 1-2-3
  • (1qAz)(2wSx)(3eDc) - (1)(2)(3)
  • =1Qaz=2wSx=3edC= - =1=2=3
  • 1QAZ/2WSX/3edc - 1/2/3

So the main importance is to actually remember where you capitalize :)
PLease do comment other ways and also if you like this way and if it was helpful for you.

At last, I want to share a link where you can enter your e-mail and see if it has been hacked, whenever big companies get hacked the information gets stored in a database.
