I agree that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology offer some of the very best hopes for humanity out there right now. My concern is this: most of humanity live in a world of what one would call "lower consciousness". The simple reason the elites manipulate the public is because they can. Not only can they but the vast majority of folks want to be told what to do, what to think, who to vote for, what wars to fight, etc. Most folks just simply don't think and don't care. That has not changed, as far as I can tell, since we'v stopped swinging from tree limbs. Platforms like Steemit are best for those who think, who ponder, who investigate, who question authority, who create. Will there be enough of us to change the world?
