As of right now there is no ability to pin a post and nor should there be. To pin a post would defeat the purpose of the rewards system . You could inadvertently pin a post over 7 days and lose monetization on your other posts.
Perchance someone doesn't have enough influence to even need to worry about rewards and they would like content that is most likely to be of interest to aquireing followers to come back to see if there are updates.
I think this is an oversight imo and not everyone is motivated by the structure or rewards.
@bruckdashel But shouldn't that be our choice not steemit's? If a pinned post is more important to me than making steem on other posts shouldn't I have the ability to do it? We're not kids around here...lol
