Happy New Year! Wait four dollar Steem!?
I am out with the family shopping.
I pull out the phone and notice four dollar Steem. It's like July 2016 again.
I admit, I was hoping it would stay low for awhile as I am buying back when I sold a lot to pay some bills.

Yup. I don't exactly know why. I suspect it might have something to do with the approaching launch of SMTs. Or perhaps its an early sign that Bitcoin will have another bull run (I've noticed Steem price movements sometimes forecast Bitcoin price movements).
I was thinking SMTs myself. I hadn't noticed the forecast thing.
what will be interesting to watch is the steem to SBD ratio.
Now you can still buy 2+ steem for 1 sbd.
lately, the sbd break out massively of the supposed 1 dollar range,wondering if the trend continues.
I've been wondering when it will come back to normal. But if SBDs are traded on an open market there is only so much Steemit can do.
Crazy, right!? Starting 2018 off with a bang.
