RE: Softfork and wobbly outcomes
Justin had plenty of time to vote in different witnesses with his stake.
He didn't, which means he trusted the ones we have (as do I), to keep the chain secure.
If I ever started tweeting contradictory gibberish; and couldn't be contacted for a week I'd consider it a favour if the witnesses froze my stake and minimised my opportunity to damage the chain, at least until I had a chance to discuss it with them.
I don't think this will be a big deal. He bought into a chain controlled by witnesses; those witnesses used their best judgement in temporarily locking his stake.
I think it will be a big deal in time when that stake wants to move. I understand the move though.
As compared to what?...it was losing money, the value was dropping, I'd sure like to see them tell a judge that a system that borderlines being a ponzi scheme that all their decisions have been wise one's. I mean really, please do, I can hardly wait for that bit of comedic comedy to roll out in a court room.
