You should really start using the Steem internal market.

I am pretty sure it is more secure than Poloniex. Click to the right of STEEM in your wallet and hit buy/sell. You can instantly go in and out of Steem and SBD there. I have made over 5 SBD doing this already. Even with a daily volume there of less than a few grand usually.Most of my remaining Steem not powered up was sold at close to 28 cents so going in to SBD has already made me extra Vests were I to buy in and power up right now! This is why I have not been crying over the loss in marketcap causing the Steem machine to print slower. My last power down was over 11 Steem. Not worth much USD.... YET
